We follow Christ and serve the Lord together as part of the Lancaster Baptist Church and West Coast Baptist College staff. We enjoy a variety of ministry opportunities such as leading a connection group for young couples, serving in the LBC choir and orchestra, and leading the music department of West Coast Baptist College.
I was born into a pastor’s home in Wyoming. Early in my life, I realized my need for Jesus and put my faith in Jesus Christ. When I was 12 years old, my parents gathered us together in the living room and told us we would be moving to the country of Romania to serve as missionaries. The Lord worked in each of our lives individually as He moved our family first to Lancaster, then on deputation, and then to the mission field. I was privileged to be involved in many facets of the ministry with my parents. It was in Romania that the Lord put a passion in my heart for the Gospel ministry and also for music.
I returned to Lancaster to attend West Coast Baptist College and immediately began to serve in the church and college music programs. During my freshman year, I began a relationship with Pearl that would last throughout our college years. We were married in 2012 and have been serving in Lancaster ever since.
In 2014, I began to lead the music department of West Coast Baptist College. In this role, I lead the faculty and program development and administrate campus music activities and chapel services. The Lord has given me a passion for education, and I enjoy teaching conducting, philosophy of worship, hymnology, and leading the WCBC Choir and Chorale. I am currently working toward my Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Music Education at Boston University’s College of Fine Arts.
Unlike my husband, I did not grow up around the things of the Lord. My family lived in Australia and I led what would be considered a typical childhood. After completing a biomedical degree in university, the circumstances of my life compelled me to seek out something more. During a visit to my family in California, I became acquainted with Lancaster Baptist Church and West Coast Baptist College. The young people I met during this visit to the states displayed joy, fulfillment, and contentment in a way I had never seen, and I knew it had some connection with the teachings of the Bible. So, I enrolled in Bible college.
During my first week at WCBC, I came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and began a personal relationship with Him. I immediately began soaking up all I could about the Bible and my newfound faith. I met John during my second year at college. Though I was fairly uncertain about God’s plan for my life, we began a relationship that would later develop and grow stronger. It was later in college that God led me to pursue full-time ministry. John and I were later married and began serving the Lord together in Lancaster.
I have served in the business offices of the church and college, as well as the church and college orchestras. My primary focus now is family. The Lord has blessed us with two wonderful boys, Jadon and Oliver. I enjoy journaling, crafting, planning activities for our connection group, and being an encouragement to other ladies, wives, and mothers.
